"Tips" For Maintaining Your Tan

Tanning takes place in the outer layer of the skin, the epidermis. As the epidermis continuously renews itself, old skin cells are being expelled and your tan fades. To ensure continuous color and a vibrant tan:


Tan regularly.


Use indoor tanning lotions to tan quicker and obtain a deeper, longer lasting color. Moist skin tans better. The tanning lotion provides moisturizers and nutrients that maximize the tanning potential and help increase the quality of your tan.


Avoid harsh soap. They hasten the disappearance of the tan. Use cleansers with low pH levels, such as shower gels that are less liable to strip the skin's natural, protective oils.


Between tans, use a tan extending moisturizer on your face and body to replace vitamins, nutrients, and natural oils that are dissipated in the tanning process.
